Chanel Haute Couture A/W 2018/19 - With Karl Lagerfeld In Paris The City Of Light Is Ready To Shine

For Chanel Haute Couture A/W 2018, Karl Lagerfeld took the idea of a winter's day in Paris and tipped it upside down with couture craftsmanship. Creating beautifully tailored and lined tweed jackets, coats and capes in a multitude of shapes trimmed with Coco's camellia buttons, and all embellished with tweed beading, sequins, pearls, feathers and braiding. Karl has used a palette I love of greys, black and blues and added zipped sleeves and long, and naturally, short skirts. With encrusted taffetas and long crepe skirts that begged for nights out with their ribbons and pleated tulle. Silver fabrics and knits mingled with velvets shot with starlight, and moonlit sequins. I adore the collection, and that gorgeous white gown is just beautiful. Chanel's City of Light is ready to shine.
