Alexandre Vauthier Haute Couture A/W 2018/19 - An Homage To 80's Chanel And Haute Couture's Craftsmen - I'm Totally Loving It

A terrific collection by Alexandre Vauthier for Haute Couture A/W 2018/19 with gorgeous gowns and bubble skirts last seen on the original supermodels of the 80's. The pin sharp tailored jackets with the silks, chiffon and crystal of the skirts and trousers topped off with the boater style hats looked lovely. I loved the silhouettes and Alexandre said that the designs were created with the masters of haute couture. The pleated fabrics, buttons, feathers, embroidery, hats and jewellery all come from the Chanel stable of artisan craftsmen. I particularly love the long gown with shirt styling, and very open neckline! And also I really like the crisp white shirts with ribbon trims, overall it was a lovely collection.
