Chanel Resort 2019 - Karl Lagerfeld Takes Us On A Trip To The French Riviera Via The Good Ship La Pausa

Ready to wear for the Chanel cruise aboard the La Pausa, namesake of Coco Chanel's villa overlooking Roquebrune Cap Martin in the Riviera. Maybe you bought it when it went on sale in 2013? And Karl Lagerfeld in the Paris Grand Palais last night showed a whole new wardrobe he has created to take with you. The original Resort or Cruise collections were created for rich Americans to winter in the Caribbean, but now they are important collections across the fashion industry. With his 60's white tights and Mary Jane shoes there was a gorgeous collection of light weight tweed skirt and pant suits. And sailor style outfits beloved by Coco. All trimmed with Coco's favourite pearls and camellias and accessorised with the very French beret. Also on board were the flexible dress, actually a two piece that offered many variations. Karl picked up the street vibe with his shredded jeans and the cream sweaters are lovely. I also liked the fitted navy tweed pieces, probably among my favourite pieces as they are so easy to wear year round.
