Schiaparelli Paris Haute Couture S/S 2018

For Haute Couture S/S 2018 Bertrand Guyon has created some gorgeous designs at Schiaparelli. His mood board was inspired by: pagan myth. Nature. Nubian tales and Moorish legends. Far away kingdoms where women exhale regal grace and elegance. Praising the work of the hand as it transforms ordinary synthetic or natural materials into ethereal sensuality. The prowess of the atelier infuses poetry into linen, raffia, nylon and plastic shopping bags when woven with silk, embroidered with Swarovski mother-of-pearl beads or braided with feathers. Fresh yet strong silhouettes play with infinite textures.

There are Rajasthan themes imagining mother of pearl palaces and pink really is the navy blue of India. And also pieces inspired by the colours of Santa Fe, and the mystical American Indian culture. With every day looks to be worn with tough leather, and tulle gowns to be worn with dainty shoes.  And expect to see them at next month's Oscar ceremony.

This is Bertrand's mood board.
