Cognac Rémy Martin Louis XIII Le Mathusalem Baccarat

Cognac is such a pretty town, richly built with the proceeds of it's cognac. This Rémy Martin Louis XIII Le Mathusalem is a very special cognac. Created in 1874 the monumental cognac has aromas of myrrh, honey, immortelle, plum, honeysuckle and leather. With tasting notes this tantalising blend promises great things. And for the first time a cognac has been presented in a mathusalem edition. But this is no ordinary mathusalem, for the 600cl bottle is mouthblown and crafted by the artists at Baccarat. Including eight crystal glasses presented in a display chest with serving tray and pipette.

Other sizes are available plus this 5cl miniature. The aromatic nose brims with notes of exotic candied fruits that give way to floral delicacy and a perfect marriage of fruits, flowers and spices on the palate. The finish is extremely long, leaving you with notes of jasmine, saffron and cigar box.

Rémy Martin say that each decanter is the life achievement of generations of Cellar Masters.  For a very Merry Christmas it's fabulous.
