Christian Siriano NYFW Ready-to-Wear S/S 2018

Sorry to say but Christian Siriano's collection shown yesterday in New York didn't work for me, and I normally love Christian's red carpet design. The large florals weren't attractive and neither was the colour palette of mustard and lime. His gorgeous black gowns, especially the net skirted were terrific, just not with the lime trim. And the sheer gowns with beautiful floral and butterfly embellishment were exquisite. Christian has been applauded for showing diversity on the runway with the very thin Coco Rocha at one end and plus-size models at the other, in all ethnicity and genders. But Tom Ford held his show first night of NYFW and he's never going to show his designs on plus-size models, because his designs are luxury and sadly fat is not. Although Tom is happy to have very thin women on the runway with what look like dangerously low levels of fat. And they aren't marathon runners. What fashion really needs is the type of models in Christian's show who looked lovely in his designs and above all look healthy.
