Aston Martin1956 DBR1 Sold For £17.5 Million

Raced by Sir Stirling Moss the Aston Martin DBR1 was one of five built between 1956 and 1958 and this one had Chassis Number One.

Described at auction as the most important Aston Martin ever produced. It was a purpose-built model developed by racing design chief Ted Cutting to be raced at Le Mans.

A snip then at $22.55 million for someone by phone, and I hope it was bought by someone as crazy about cars as Ralph Lauren. It will fit right in to his stable of beautiful cars.

Or maybe with that money you could buy 120 brand-new Aston Martin DB11 supercars.

1 classic car or 120 off the conveyor belt?? Decisions decisions.
