Fendi Paris Haute-Couture A/W 2017

Karl Lagerfeld used shaved mink to decorate his Fendi designs so I found it difficult to present images that didn't have fur. But the collection was so colourful and the pixilated design I thought was so lovely was actually created with 10,000 pieces of shaved mink sewn by hand. And you wouldn't have had any idea that the floral peonies and patterns on the lace dresses were actually made with mink. Apparently Fendi have been working on the dying and shaved mink for several years until they could present yesterday's collection. I think it's one of their best. Mixing in feather and lace with the mink. Some of the designs were like colourful backcloths for productions, and the show was held at The Théâtre des Champs-Élysées. Very impressive. There's no one quite like Karl. No Kendall though?
