The Himalaya Birkin Bag That Costs As Much As A House

This amazing Himalaya Birkin bag sold at Christie's in Hong Kong yesterday for £295,000, or $380,000. Almost the price of an average home.

The bag is so special as it is made of alligator skin, then dyed to match the colours of the Himalayan mountain range. From smoky grey to pearly white.

The handles are encrusted with 205 diamonds and the bag fastens with 18 karat gold buckles.

Only one or two of the bags are made a year as they are so time consuming to make. And of course they are all handmade.

A beautiful bag for a luxury life. The buyer preferred to remain anonymous. Was it you?
