Adwoa Aboah Met Ball 2017 Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between

Choosing an unknown designer, Connor Ives at Central St Martins college, Adwoa Aboah wore a white satin swan embroidered duster coat over a sequin minidress. The outfit was spot on for the ball's theme of Rei Kawabuko's Comme des Garcons.

The minidress was made entirely from 80's sequin shirts and vintage pieces found in markets. The dress had a hem from a vintage 30's dress, and the whole look was then hand embroidered and sewn over 200 hours. The outfit came originally from Connor's first year collection.

The coat was supposed to look like her date's jacket thrown over her shoulders, held up by braces. A gallant chap.

Congratulations to both Adwoa for her commitment to the theme, and Connor for creating a fashion moment.
