Holiday Like Frank Lloyd Wright In Cape Cod At Northeast Pond

Inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright, Northeast Pond House is set within the secluded Northeast Pond with no neighbours except the birds.

Designed by Cape Cod based architect Charlie Zehnder in 1970, and built around a central base, Kugel Gips has an Ang Lee, The Ice Storm feel about it. Saved from disrepair the interior has been dressed with furniture and art to reflect the original house build. Such as the tulip chairs by Eero Sarrinen, which regular readers will know how much I love.

In fact the whole house on the Outer Cape is an architectural and designer dream in an area of such outstanding natural beauty. With cantilevered decks that take full advantage of the views, it has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, sleeps 6. And the beach is 5 minutes away.

Situated near Wellfleet, known for its art galleries and seafood. Further up the Cape is Provincetown, one of the oldest artists’ colonies in the US, which retains a unique character, and is a popular destination for shopping and dining.
