Sotheby's Pink Star 59.60 Carat Diamond Hong Kong Auction

Due to be auctioned April 4th by Sotheby's Hong Kong Auction House is the Pink Star diamond. A very rare oval mixed-cut fancy vivid pink diamond weighing 59.60 carats and mounted in platinum.

The largest internally flawless or flawless, fancy vivid pink diamond that the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) has ever graded. The diamond was cut by Steinmetz Diamonds over two years from the 132.50 carat rough diamond. Ring size: 5¾.

The flawless diamond was last sold in November 2013, but the winner couldn't scrape enough pennies from down the back of the sofa to complete the $60m sale.

So count those pennies and register to bid.
